Context

 

Active since 2018, Kouros is a family office that makes investments in the renewable energy sector and particularly in hydrogen.

At the same time, Kouros is developing an innovative project to decarbonise heavy transport through its engagement and with its partners. Hyliko is the first HGV fleet decarbonisation service including leasing, hydrogen fuel supply and carbon footprint management.

Also, Kouros created the start-up Hyliko Trucks, which aims to develop an innovative hydrogen truck project.

As part of a team on a human scale and in a start-up spirit, you will be fully involved in the success of the project.

In order to accelerate its development, Hyliko Trucks is recruiting their:

 

PRODUCT QUALITY AND APPROVAL MANAGER

 

Main duties

 

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and a member of the company’s management team, the Product Quality and Approval Manager is one of the pillars of the organisation and has the following responsibilities:

 

  1. Project Quality

 

  • Defining and deploying the company’s Quality system, developing it in a continuous improvement approach
  • Defining and managing the company’s standards (processes, procedures, etc.)
  • Setting up and managing product and process risk analysis tools (FMECA, Risk Analyses, etc.)
  • Implementing a nomenclature and an appropriate documentary structure
  • Defining and managing a project quality and risk action plan
  • Following the supplier quality specifications
  • Conducting Supplier Quality Audits in conjunction with the team Purchasing Manager
  • Managing Quality Control on critical deliveries (perfos, etc.)
  • Identifying and analysing points of non-Quality and proposing corrective and preventive actions

2. Standards / Regulations

 

  • Defining and managing the regulatory framework for the project
  • Monitoring compliance with applicable standards on the vehicle and its sub-assemblies
  • Monitoring compliance with specific standards for hydrogen systems
  • Defining the test plan with a view to certifying the compliance of the equipment with the regulations
  • Defining the product validation plan and its sub-assemblies in order to pass regulatory compliance

 

3. Certification

 

  • Managing the certified laboratories on the tests necessary for the approval of the vehicle sub-components
  • Compiling the set of documents necessary for the certification of the vehicle
  • Managing upstream exchanges with approval bodies (DREAL, UTAC)
  • Monitoring the tests and managing the certifying service providers on the vehicle

 

4. Regulatory monitoring and Quality Assurance

 

  • Ensuring regulatory monitoring
  • Monitoring vehicle performance and proposing a quality action plan based on customer feedback (unreliability, optimised maintenance)
  • Deploying a Quality certification process

 

Desired profile

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position and in a context of accelerated business development is expected.

The candidate should ideally have experience gained in the world of heavy goods vehicles or automobiles and in product development and industrialisation projects.

The candidate must have the following knowledge, know-how and expertise:

  • Integrity, autonomy, structured and organised spirit, rigour and method
  • Pragmatic and results-oriented
  • Strong ability to adapt and work proactively
  • Team spirit, people skills and a flair for human relations
  • Pedagogy enabling them to quickly become the Expert point of contact
  • Proficiency in English to communicate with international suppliers and service providers

Holding a Master’s level advanced training in Quality Management or equivalent, the candidate will be endowed with a desire to undertake and embark on a true human adventure of business creation.

Sensitive to environmental issues and the energy transition, the candidate will be able to leverage his/her qualities and skills for the benefit of a meaningful project.

 

Terms and Conditions

The position is based in Aix en Provence, with the possibility of working remotely.
As part of this opportunity, given the scope of responsibility, it is necessary to plan several trips at regional and national level.

A package including a fixed + variable remuneration will be offered according to the profiles.
